If your heart rate is high for your age, then that means you need to work out more in order to achieve better aerobic fitness.

THe most important thing to remember about aerobic fitness is that nobody can decide how fit you are except for yourself. There is no objective way to measure aerobic fitness, so the best way to determine if you are fit enough is just to see if you can do the exercises that you would like to do.

There is no objective fitness measurement, but one way to get a good idea of your fitness level is to do basic running or walking tests and check your heart rate afterward. The best way to get fit is to work out as hard as you can and increase your workouts as your aerobic fitness improves.
